Jamia Milia Islamia Engineering Entrance (JMI EEE):

Jamia Millia Islamia, a 'Deemed University' originally established at Aligarh in united provinces, in 1920. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. The UGC board declared the Jamia Millia a ‘Deemed to be University’ in 1962. Jamia Milia Islamia became a Central University by an act passed by the Indian Parliament in 1988. The university boasts of many faculties which have established there name among the intellectuals and of course the students of India and abroad Jamia Milia Islamia University is place for learning in parallel to many other finest universities of India.

Jamia Admission & Selection Procedure:

Admission to all Jamia Millia degree courses would be done through a written test (85%) and interview (15%). JNU Admission Tests for all courses will be held at various centres of Jamia Millia University. In case of Faculties of Engineering & Technology/Architecture & Ekistics the centres will be located at Srinagar, Guwahati and Leh besides, various places in Delhi/NCR, whereas in case of Faculty of Education and Faculty of Dentistry, the centres will be located at various places in Delhi/NCR. The schedule of JMIEEE admission tests of all engineering & other degree courses is given at Table-II (Para-54) “ADMISSION SCHEDULE OF COURSES OFFERED BY THE UNIVERSITY DURING THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2013-2014” of the Prospectus.

Candidates called for interview shall be generally three times the total number of seats in the course concerned provided that they have secured at least 33% marks in the JMI entrance test at undergraduate and diploma courses and 36% marks in postgraduate courses other than BDS. In case of BDS candidates obtaining less than 50% marks for all categories of the applicants and the SC/ST obtaining less than 40% of marks in the jamia entrance test will not be eligible to be called for interview.

Jamia started BE in civil engineering in 1978, the faculties of humanities & languages, natural sciences, social science, and the state resource centre are established in 1981. In comming yeras Jamia milia established the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (B.E & B.Tech) & Architecture (B.Arch) course and the University Computer Centre also mass communication research centre. 2013 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering - GATE 2013, an all India examination, is held in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development and Government of India.
