Bussiness Administration. These programmes are affiliated to Guru Gobind
Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Maharaja
Agrasen Institute of Technology is established by Maharaja Agrasen
Technical Education Society promoted by a group of well known
Industrialists, Businessman, Professionals and Philanthropists with an
aim to promote quality education in the field of Technology. In its
short span of existence MAIT has touched a high standard of excellence
through its well equipped laboratory with a high degree of Hardware -
Software Symbiosis and continued stress on hardware based Engineering
education supplemented with the software application specially designed
for the particular branch of engineering . Each and every laboratory and
facility in the Institute is well equipped with the latest computing
tools. Presently more than Nine hundred budding engineers are on the of
the Institute.
MAIT
endeavors to provide industry relevant education and training to its
well-crafted practical training programs for the student in different
semesters of the course. The students moving to the second and third
year are provided with in-house training facilities in the fields like
Computing Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Applications
,Internet Technologies , Electronic Hardware Design, Simulation and
Analysis etc. Also the students moving to the final year are being
trained at the real workplace , i.e. factories, industries installations
and R & D centers etc.
In
order to achieve its goals MAIT is eager to build lasting relations
with the industry, therefore , the industries are cordially invited to
join hands in fueling the social responsibility of imparting industry
relevant technical education and training!
The
Maharaja Agrasen University has been incorporated by an Act of the H.P.
Government in 2012 and is situated in the picturesque backdrop of
Kasauli Hills. The University has been sponsored by the Maharaja Agrasen
Technical Education Society (MATES), a charitable non-profit
organization founded in 1998 with a vision to establish institutions of
higher education, particularly in the field of technical and
professional education of international standards. The mission of the
Society is to train our youth to become high class professionals infused
with human and moral values. In pursuance of this vision, the Society
established Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) in 1999 at
Delhi.
The
Institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University,
Delhi, and has at present about 4000 students registered in its various
engineering courses. MAIT has evolved into reputed self financed
institution affiliated to the GGSIP University. DATAQUEST Magazine in
its latest survey in 2012, has placed MAIT at the 21: rank amongst all
the engineering colleges of India, including NTs and IIITs. Yahoo
Education India, in its 2011 survey of best engineering colleges in
North India, has given 'AAA' grade to MAIT. All programmes run by MAIT
are AICTE approved.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is affiliated to GGSIP
University and follows the rules and regulations decided by the
University. All has been included in the University Ordinance.
The Delhi professional
colleges or institution(prohibition of capitation fee regulation of admission,
fixation of non-exploitative fee and other measures to ensure equity and
excellence) Act, 2007 has a provision, where ten percent of total sanctioned
seats are to be allocated as management quota seats and these management quota seats have
to be filled up by the management of an institution,
in the manner as may be prescribed.
