MT CET 2015 Eligibility Criteria

MT CET 2015 Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate must be born on or after 1 October 1990 (general, OBC and women).
• There is a relaxation of 5 years i.e. 1985 for candidate belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories.
• He must fulfill all the terms as mentioned in the JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria.
• Candidate must have qualified class XII or equivalent exam in physics, math as compulsory subjects and with any one of chemistry/biology/biotechnology/computer science as optional.
• It is necessary to score a minimum percentage aggregate of 50% (45% for backward classes and PwD candidates).

MT CET 2015 Application Form, Date, Notification

All the candidates interested in taking admission in the engineering undergraduate courses in the state of Maharashtra have to fill the MT CET 2015 Application Form. The form will be released in the month of June 2015 after the declaration of JEE Main 2015 score card and ranking. Candidates are required to fill the form with correct and complete information else it would be rejected in the screening process. Also, no fees shall be refunded. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra will issue the application form to the candidates wanting to pursue B.E/B.Tech from the colleges of the state for session 2015-16.

Apart from filling the application form of MT CET, candidates are also needed to fill the application form of JEE Main 2015 as from 2014, all the admissions in the state would be made through JEE Main. Process of application and registration

It is necessary to apply via CAP (Online) and brochure kit (Offline) both. So it can be said that the process of application comprises of online mode and offline mode both. Candidates have to complete the process of application as per the schedule.

Stage 1 – Offline Mode of MT CET 2015 application form

All India/Maharashtra Candidates

• You have to purchase the application form kit from any nearest ARC by making a payment of Rs.700 in cash for General Category Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates.
• This fees is Rs.500 for Reserved Category & Persons with disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.

Jammu and Kashmir Candidates

• You are required to buy the application kit from the branches of Axis Bank at Chwadi(2359), G S Marg(1011), Highland Tower (147), Udhampur(1573), and Srinagar(1013).
• To buy the kit, it is needed to make a payment of Rs.700 in cash.
• After filling the form, you have to send duly signed print out of online filled application and attested copies of required documents for confirmation to: The Principal, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Versova Road, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 058.
• J&K candidates will be issued a Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement on their login once they confirm the application form.

Stage 2 – Online Mode of MT CET 2015 Application Form

• MT CET 2015 Application Form will be provided to only that candidate who wants to take admission via Centralized Admission Process (CAP) on the official website of DTE.
• Candidates are required to fill the online application form, generate its printout and confirm the form in person with duly signed printout of application form, necessary documents in originals and one set of photocopy at ARC.
• List of merit of such eligible candidates for Centralized Admission Process will be put up on the official website.
• Candidates shouldn’t send any application form thru post or courier.

Application Fees

Candidates have to pay the fees of Rs.700 (Rs.500 for SC/ST/PD) in cash at any one of the Application Receipt Centers (ARCs). Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir have to buy the kit at designated branches of Axis Bank by making payment in cash.
