Eligibility Criteria for KCET 2016
Below we are specifying the eligibility criteria for KCET 2016. Course wise eligibility criteria are mentioned below; please take a look:
MBBS or BDS Programme: In order to get admission in this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is necessary to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
BAMS, BUMS, BNYS & BHMS Programme: For getting admission to this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is necessary to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
B.E/ B. Tech Programme: In order to get admission in this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is essential to secure 45% marks in the subject Physics and Mathematics along with subjects namely Biology / Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/Electronics.
- Arch Programme: In case candidates need to get admission in this course, they are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is required to secure minimum 50% marks in all the subjects including Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- V. Sc. & A.H Programme: To get admission in this course, Candidates needs to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is needed to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
B.Pharm Programme: If one is interested in getting admission to the course B.Pharm, he/she is required to clear 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with English. Candidates are necessary to secure at least 45% of marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects.
2nd Year B. Pharma (Lateral Entry) programme: If one is interested in getting admission as lateral entry to B.Pharma programme, he /she must have cleared Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution and that particular institution must be approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India. Besides, candidates are also necessary to secure 45% aggregate marks.
D Pharma Programme: For getting admission to this programme, candidates are required to clear 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with English and secure at least 45% of marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology or PCM. OR, candidates must have cleared Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution and that particular institution must be approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority. KCET 2021 will be conducted to determine the eligibility/merit of the appearing candidates for admission to various engineering, science and agricultural courses across the state of Karnataka. KCET 2021 is a state-level examination that will be held at various exam centres all over the state. The application form for KCET 2021 will be released by the exam authority in February 2021.
