COMEDK UGET 2016

COMEDK UGET 2016 - COMEDK UGET is “ Under Graduate Entrance Test” that is conducted annually by COMEDK and floated by the Associations of Medical, Dental and Engineering private colleges for merit determination of students seeking admission to member institutions. The exam has been conducted on May 8, 2016 in computer based mode across the country. Presently, there are 181 engineering colleges in Karnataka that are affiliated to COMEDK and offer admissions to almost 20,000 seats.  The provisional answer key is available now from May 11 and final answer key will be available from May 26, 2016. The result will be declared on May 28, 2016.

Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET)


COMEDK UGET 2016 exam will be conducted on May 8, 2016, across various cities in Karnataka for admissions to various UG programmes.
COMEDK UGET scores are accepted by more than 150 engineering colleges, 12 medical colleges and 25 dental colleges in the state of Karnataka.

The duration of BE course through COMEDK UGET is four years and that of MBBS course is four and a half years. On the other hand, duration of BArch and BDS course is five years and four years respectively.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering courses



  1. Students are required to have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or Board in the country.
  2. They are required to have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in their class 12th or 2nd PUC exam. Candidates must have passed these subjects individually.
  3. Aspirants must have studied Physics, Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject along with any one of the following optional subjects - Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology or any other technical vocational courses.
  4. Candidates are required to have studied English as a subject in the qualifying exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Architectural courses


  1. The candidates must have passed the 12th or PUC or any equivalent examination from any recognized board (without open university/board) of the country or having 10+3 diploma with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in the aggregate.
  2. The candidates must have appeared and scored a minimum of 80 marks out of 200 marks in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the COA for general and category students both.
  3. The candidates seeking the B.Arch course shall submit the separate application.
  4. There is no entrance test for students seeking the admission to B.Arch programme.
