All India Engineering Entrance Exams, a common entrance
examination on all India basis for admission to professional and technical
programs is conducted by CBSE for admission to Engineering and
Architecture/Planning programs, Government of India. From 2013, AIEEE has
scrapped and replaced by JEE Main and will be organized by CBSE.
Eligibility for JEE Main:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with 50% marks. They should have read mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Final year candidates of 10+2 may also appear in JEE Main. Candidates who have already appeared three times or more will be permitted to appear in JEE Main 2013 as a last chance (18th October 2001) has laid down a Three - Exam Scheme (JEE Main at the National Level and the State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE) for State Level Institutions. It takes care of various admission standards in these programs and helps in maintenance of professional standards. It also reduces physical, mental and financial burden of students and their parents due to its multiplicity of entrance examinations.

Offline Exam: 7th April, 2013
Online Exam: 8th to 30th April, 2013
Last Date of Receipt of Forms: 24th January, 2013
Expected Date of Result: 7th May, 2013 (List of top 1.5 lakh candidates who will eligible for JEE advanced will be released just after declaration of results)
