Orissa JEE Engineering Entrance Exam
In the year1979, Rourkela Engineering College (REC)
conducted a joint entrance exam (JEE) for the students of Orissa to take
admission into various courses. At that time, there are only two engineering
colleges- REC and University Engineering College (UEC), Burla are offering
engineering courses. From 2003, the face of Orissa JEE has changed, when Biju Pattnaik

Now, there are more than thirty engineering colleges and five to six deemed universities offer engineering courses. Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Sambalpur University and Berhampur University and North Orissa University are offering engineering courses by giving admission through Orissa JEE.
