BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) 2016
will be conducted from May 14 to May 28, 2016 by Birla Institute of
Technology and Science (BITS) for granting admissions to various
Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering in the university. For
selected candidates, the online exam will be conducted on May 26. These
candidates are those whose BITSAT 2016 exam dates are clashing with
other entrance exams. Nearly 2 lakh candidates will be appearing for
BITSAT 2016 and will compete for around 2,000 seats available in various
BE (Hons.) programmes available across three campuses of BITS - Pilani,
Goa and Hyderabad. This national level engineering entrance exam will
be conducted across a total of around 51 exam cities in India and Dubai.
BITSAT 2016 Important Dates:
The application form of BITSAT 2016 is available now, from January 8, 2016 and deadline to apply Online is March 8, 2016 (5 pm). Interested candidates should register their names by applying in the prescribed application form online. They shall complete the application form online and pay the prescribed fees. They also need to take the print out of the filled form for future reference.
A candidate can apply online only once for BITSAT 2016. However, if a candidate discovers any mistake in the form submitted by him, he can apply online second time and send a letter to admission office BITS, Pilani mentioning the earlier application number, which will be cancelled. In such cases, the second application has to be accompanied by a fresh application fee.

BITSAT Syllabus for Physics:
Candidates can choose BITSAT 2016 Exam Centers from within India or Dubai. If a candidate selects centers within India, he/she can give three preferences, while if a candidate chooses Dubai as a center, he/she will not be asked for any other center preference.
The final list of centers in India and operating days at each center in India and Dubai will be announced only after all the applications are received. Therefore, candidates can choose their date for the test as per accessibility and availability of slots in any of these centers. Allotment of test center and announcement to candidates of the same will be done on March 10, 2016 or later.
For providing admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes, BITSAT Online Tests will be conducted across 51 cities of India including campuses of BITS located in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai.
BITSAT 2016 Admit Card:
Candidates can download BITSAT 2016 Admit Card/Hall Ticket with instructions, from April 6 onwards. Each candidate, who registers for BITSAT 2016 will be instructed to download the Hall Ticket. BITSAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
- Students must have passed the 12th examination from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Also, they must have adequate proficiency in English.
- They should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th examination. Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in each of these subjects individually.
- Only Students, who are appearing for 12th examination in 2016 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2015, are eligible to appear in the online test.
- Candidates, who have passed 12th class in 2014 or earlier are not eligible for BITSAT 2016.
- Candidates having first rank in all the central and state boards in India for the year 2016 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2016 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

BITSAT 2016 Exam Pattern:
BITS has announced BITSAT 2016 Exam Pattern that includes details of exam duration, number of sections, subjects covered, number of questions and marking scheme.
BITSAT 2016 will be conducted with 3 hour exam duration (without break).
The exam will be objective-type and will be divided in 4 parts - Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV.
With a total of 150 questions, each correct answer of BITSAT 2016 will fetch 3 marks each, while for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted (-1). For unattempted question, no mark (zero) will be awarded.
Candidates appearing for BITSAT 2016 can check below paper pattern of 2016:
Any
candidate capable of answering 150 questions within the specified time
(without skipping any question) can attempt an additional 12 questions
(four each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry only).
