About ACSIR - Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, Delhi

Established in 2011 as an ‘Institution of National Importance’ (interim operations started in June, 2010), the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) has adopted the mandate to create and train some of the best of tomorrow’s Science & Technology leaders through a combination of innovative and novel curricula, pedagogy and evaluation. AcSIR’s focus will be on imparting instruction and providing research opportunities in such areas that are not routinely taught in regular academic universities in India.
It has been set up based on a ‘Hub and the Spokes’ model where hub is responsible for centralized administrative functions and currently housed at CSIR HQ, Anusandhan Bhawan, 2 Rafi Marg, New Delhi. The spokes are located in the 37 laboratories and 6 units of CSIR spread along the length and breadth of India, which act as actual campuses for different subjects or areas depending on their respective specializations.
At present the Academy has about 2200 full time faculty members from CSIR Laboratories, over 2000 students enrolled in various programmes and 7 non-academic staff members.

AcSIR has been established as an 'Institution of National Importance' with a view to maximize the number of qualified researchers and professionals of impeccable quality in the domain of science & engineering; and to equip them with the skills to innovate and conduct seamless interdisciplinary research.

Admission Details of ACSIR Delhi:-

PhD in Engineering

• Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology
• Master’s Degree by Research in Engineering/Technology
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
• All qualifications should have a good academic record with a valid gate score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent

PhD in Science

• Master’s degree in Science/Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy M.S (Research)
• All qualifications should have a good academic record with a valid gate score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent

Integrated M.Tech – Ph.D in Engineering

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology under the 10+2+4/10+3+3 System with good Academic record

Integrated M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Clinical Research

• Integrated M.S. & Ph.D. in Clinical Research is being offered in collaboration with Publich Health Foundation of India (PHFI)
• Applicants with graduate qualifications in: medical and allied fields like dentistry, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing and veterinary science
• Applicants with graduate qualifications in: biological and life sciences (microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, zoology), basic sciences (chemistry), occupational therapy and bio-statistics

Integrated M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Health Informatics

• Integrated M.S. & Ph.D. in Health Informatics is being offered in collaboration with Publich Health Foundation of India (PHFI)
• Bachelor’s degree, in any science discipline under the 10+2+3 system. Preference will be given to candidates with working experience in health care and information technology.
