Capital Engineering College is established in 2010 . Capital Engineering College is the result of the vision of Badri Narayan Sahoo who laid the foundation . CEC is a part of Bidya Bharati Educational Trust's endeavour to provide quality education. The college has started with an aim to provide quality technical education to a wider domain of illustrious students of the state of Orissa in particular and the nation in general.
    Capital Engineering College(CEC),Mahatapala, Khurda, Bhubaneswar, Orissa is established under the auspices of Bidya Bharati Educational Trust with the sole objective of imparting quality education at par with international standards and committed to create world class Engineers for tomorrow,
The underlying academic philosophies of the institution are: independent educational process, latest mode of teaching, innovative pedagogy, human resource development, pre-placement activities and all round development of the students, faculty and staff.

Admission details:

• Admission to different courses (B.Tech & M.Tech) of the University(BPUT) shall be based on criteria decided by the Academic Council of the University(BPUT). There shall be provision for direct admission for a limited number of NRI/FN students. Details of criteria shall be as per provisions in the rule formulated for the purpose. The University(BPUT) shall adopt the eligibility criteria as specified by AICTE/UGC
• The students will be selected through Jee Mains and Orissa JEE for Engineering Disciple.

 Fees Structure:

The Fees is around Rs.40000 per year

Facilities at Capital Engineering College

1)Central Library
There is a Central Library which shall be open on all working days from 8am to 8 pm and books will be issued for home study from this section. The library will be having more than 25,000 books and adequate no. of adequate national and international journals. It also subscribes to DELNET through which students and faculty can get access to more than 200 libraries in India and abroad.

• HostelStudents are provided with hostel facilities. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls. The Boys' Hostel in the campus can accommodate 350 students and has all necessary facilities. All hostels have well equipped fooding facilities and special care is taken of the hygiene of the hostel
  

2) Medical Facilities

• The college has a Health Centre which provides medical facilities to meet the needs of the students and staff pertaining to minor ailments. This dispensary has been constructed to take care not only of students’ health in college campus but it also looks after the medicals problems of the nearby villagers. Ambulance facility is available.
  

3)  Transport 
There are many buses which help students in traveling between the college and the city. Students are picked up from different corners of the city based on their class timings.
4) Student Activity Center
The Students’ Activity Centre includes a 3000 seater auditorium for holding different functions and cultural activities. This is currently under construction. The Centre also has a badminton court, a basket ball court, table tennis court and a gymnasium
