DTU 2016 B.Tech Admissions - Delhi Technological University is the new name for the erstwhile delhi college of engineering. As per the dtu act, delhi act 6 of 2009, the dtu is a non-affiliating teaching and research university focusing on “growth with quality”. It offers new programs in emerging areas of engineering and technology, guaranteeing an interaction between science and engineering.

It communicates education and training in 15 branches of engineering at undergraduate level during morning session, while 4 b.tech (evening) programs is offered in evening session with an intake of 182. Full time and part time postgraduate programs are offered in 22 specialized fields of engineering and science. Ph.d. Programs are offered in all the branches of engineering, applied sciences and management. Further, mba program with special focus on technology management and supply chain management is also offered under delhi school of management (dsm) of dtu.
The 4 b.tech (evening) programs are civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics & communication engineering.

DTU 2016 B.Tech Admissions - Registration Process

• Applicants may to download application form, available at www.dtu.ac.in.
• The filled application form along with a demand draft of inr 1000/-, drawn in favour of “the coordinator, b.tech. (evening) entrance examination”, payable at delhi, needs to be submitted to the dy. Coordinator (admn.), b. Tech. (evening) entrance examination-2015, b.tech. (evening) office, 1st floor, fw1-ff4, electrical engineering department, delhi technological university (formerly delhi college of engineering), bawana road, delhi-110042
• Attested copies (by gazetted officer) of the documents should be arranged in the following order along with the application form: acknowledgement card, admit card, address slip, application form, date of birth certificate, diploma certificate, mark sheets, appointment letter, experience certificate, no objection certificate from thecurrent employer, caste certificate (if applicable). Three self-addressed envelopes should be attached.
• The admission tickets will be sent to the applicants at their mailing address approximately fifteen days before the scheduled date of the entrance examination.

DTU B Tech admission Procedure & eligibility

• Online choice filling: Registration is must for all the candidates and they should pay the fee through e-Challan or online modes/net banking. Now they have to choose their own choice of universities or institutes. Based on the eligibility of the candidate in the seat allotment will be displayed.
• Merit list: This is fully based on the AIR (All India Ranking) by CBSE and the JEE (main) paper 1.
• First round of online counseling: Based on the pee payment and document verification, the seat will be made available for 2nd round
• 2nd round of counselling: The following two types of candidates are eligible.

1. Type- 1: Candidates who have done registration and not allotted any seats in the 1st round.
2. Type- 2: Candidates who got the allotment of the seat, paid the fees, done document verification.

• 3rd round and 4th round are same as the second round.
• Spot admission for B Tech: Conducted after the 4th round.

DTU B.Tech eligibility conditions,

• Admission is based on the All India rank produced by CBSE (40% weighted for class 12) or other marks plus 60% score in JEE main 2016 (paper I).
• Candidates must also have the authority of being eligible by CBSE for central counseling.

Visit www.jacdelhi.nic.in, and pay your fee and enter the following details,

• JEE main roll no
• Mobile number
• Email Id

Now click the new registration link on the website and enter the JEE main roll no, nationality, date of birth and the 12th result details.
Now make a login with the roll no and suitable password and upload your photo and signature.
Fill in all the details like the choice of institutes, etc., and you can edit it further and take a printout of it.
Note: Registered candidates allowed in 1st round of counseling, fresh ones are not allowed in further rounds.

DTU 2016 B.Tech Admissions pattern

• There will be 2 papers for dtu. Paper i will comprise of science (physics, chemistry and
• Mathematics). Paper ii will comprise of engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and communication). Each paper will ask 90 questions and the maximum marks will be 360.
• The admission to b.tech. (evening) programme shall be done by delhi technological university on the basis of the rank secured by the applicants in the entrance examination. In case more than one candidate have equal marks in the entrance examination, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as stated in the eligibility conditions will form the basis of merit for admission. In the event of marks in the qualifying examination also being equal, the candidate born earlier will be given preference.
