The institution is  part of the Rahul Group of Institutions, which administers several educational institutes in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Orissa. RIET located in the city of Berhampur in the Orissa state. RIET is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Rourkela (Orissa), which has been established by an Act of the State Assembly of Orissa in June 2002. It offers B.Tech programmes in several engineering disciplines.

Library is the lifeblood and nerve centre of RIET which shoulders a great responsibility in harnessing the utilization of the information. The present holding of the RIET library is over 18,200 text and reference books with more than 100 journals, periodicals, encyclopedias, classics of both national and international repute. The spacious and environment friendly reading room of the library can accommodate 200 students at a time. The air conditioned digital library provides internet and photo copying facility too. The library is growing at a faster rate in terms of holdings and facilities.

The college has its own hostel for boys and girls situated on an impressive and completely refurbished modernist building in the best location ever dreamed for a hostel inside the college Campus. The Hostels provide good residential facilities in a calm and clean environment with nourishing and nutritious food. We have everything, from singles and doubles to dorms, most rooms with private facilities. Huge common area, free internet access, satellite TV, etc.

• Transportation Facilities
• Transport System is one of the pick-drop facilities available at RIET. RIET has its own fleet of buses which caters to the transportation needs of students, staffs and faculties. It provides link between the campus and the city. The transport committee is authorized to decide the paths and route of the transport facility.
