R.N Modi Engineering College, (RMEC) as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Engineering Studies in 2004 in the RIICO Institutional Area, Kota. R.N. Modi Engineering College was established by the S.R.D. Modi Vidya Niketan Society, in Kota under the tutelage of the President, Dr. R.N. Modi, an eminent and successful entrepreneur-cum-educationist, a man known for his dedication, professionalism, integrity and dynamism undaunted by all odds RMEC is the first engineering college in the institutional area, Ranpur-Kota which was established in the year 2004.

RMEC Chairman Message:-

"One of the most crucial components of Human Resource Development is Engineering education, which has the strength to add value to products and services, further improvising the quality of life. In order to evolve Engineering graduates who can efficiently undertake activities useful in the industry, the quality and standard of technical education system has to be revamped, which is the biggest challenge today. Through effective institute-industry interaction, the pragmatic meaningfulness of Engineering can be enhanced. So here at RMEC, we are committed to groom students to fit into the competitive world of technocrats. New action plan is required to improve the quality of rural manpower and local needs have to be identified. Methods are needed to be generated to improve local employability and entrepreneurship. Joint ventures are required to be initiated to create skilled manpower and industrial policies are needed to be better coordinated side be side. R.N.
