R. R. Institute of Modern Technology, Lucknow was founded in 2008 to become the “Institution of excellence”, However, academic activities in engineering college commenced in 2008 with a vision to develop a centre of excellence in the emerging area of engineering and technology. It is recently coming on its way to provide value based technocrats.The college is approved by AICTE (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) and affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University (Formerly UPTU), Lucknow.Starting with four programs in B. Tech., the college currently offers Eleven disciplines in B. Tech. (CS, IT, EC, EN, ME, EE, Civil, Bio-Technology, Agriculture Engg., Chemical Engg., Food Technology & Engg. ) with in approved intake of 900 students per year, MBA programme with intake of 60 students per year, B. Arch. with intake of 40 students per year and M. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering) with intake of 24 students per year in each discipline

About RRIMT M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
