GITAM UNIVERSITY was Established in the year 1980. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), a deemed to be university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is Accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade

The university has three campuses, main campus at Visakhapatnam, off campuses at Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The university also offers several programmes through distance learning to increase access to higher education with an emphasis on reaching the unreached.

About Placement Cell:

The university has established placement cell in each of its institutes to train and guide the students in finding lucrative placements. The placement record has been consistently highly impressive, with major recruiters from both the core and IT companies.

Hostel Facilities:

GITAM University provides Hostel facilities for both boys and girls as well as well-furnished rooms like the home environment. Well equipped rooms and food courts are available on the campus of the college.

At present four blocks of hostels provide hostel facilities to 2300 students with all the facilities.

Health care:

The campus has an all day health care centre. There are ambulances for emergencies. The students and faculty have an uninterrupted power supply and indoor games. The boys hostel has an accommodation for 3500 students, and the girls hostels 2000.
