About Gandhi Academy of Technology and Engineering
The Gandhi group of Institutions (GIIT, GATE, and GP) was therefore formed as an educational initiative in response to the emerging trends, by a group of educational professionals and socialites of OrissaThe Group started with its venture in 2008 by establishing “GIIT, located at Berhampur and now has expanded to start GATE and GP in 2009from its integrated campuses at Golanthara, Berhampur with a strength of around 1200 students yearly & collectively termed as Gandhi group of Institutions Berhampur.
The group started under the chairman ship of visionary economist and socialite Dr. C D Panda. He is the key player in establishing no of technical institution like GIET in 1997, IACER in 1999 GITA in 2003, GDC in 2005, GITAM in 2008,GIST in 2008, one 10+2 colleges named Jupiter science college and two public schools named Gandhi public school .

- The Btech fees is around 47000 per year ,and MTECH fees is around 54000 per year
- Canditate should have qualified through Orissa - JEE conducted by state government or AIEEE conducted by CBSE, New Delhi or common entrance test (CET) conducted by orissa private engineering colleges association, Orissa.
- The student should have passed the higher secondary (10 + 2) with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of computer science / biology / bio-technology / chemistry subjects.
- For admission to 2nd year through lateral entry the student should pass diploma engg. / polytechnic in corresponding branch with min. 60% of marks and qualified through orissa JEE.
1)Library
- In todays' world "Knowledge" is power. The library is the warehouse of Knowledge, is an indispensable organization to nourish the academicians, specialists, scientists, research scholars, students, and the society.
- GATE west Library is housed in a large hall of 4000 sqft. It is the repository and access point of books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, CDs/DVDs, and other resources for the users. The Library houses more than 12,000 volumes of books.
- Library books are classified and arranged branch wise according to DDC in various book shelves. Library also facilitates its clientele to know about the new arrivals of books, Journals, and Magazines.
A home away from home. The Institute has a residence facility separately for Boys & Girls inside the campus. At present the capacity is 360 seats. There is a future plan to increase the seats and make the Institute fully residential by the year 2013. GATE Residence Committee manages GATE Residence. It has been constituted to take care of various matters related to the residence. A group of faculty members are members of the Residence Committee. A fully residential GATE will enhance the all round development and involvement of the students.
3)Canteen
Canteen facility is available for the boarders, day-scholars as well as the employees of GATE. The Canteen is managed by the Institute and coordinate by the Student Committee. The committee fixes the canteen charges, which is primarily on cost-to-cost basis.
4)Transport
(GATE Rider): To make it convenient for the local students our fleet of busses ply all major streets of Bhubaneswar. Six other vehicles for the employees of GATE are also available. Students and staff members may hire a vehicle for their personal use such as picnic, wedding or visiting places at a reasonable price.
5)Medical Facilities
Medical facilities are provided for the “residents” of GATE. Doctors (a lady & Gent) visit the campus twice a week as a part of the regular check-up. Students pay a nominal amount of the consulting fee (Rs.10/- only) and all other costs are borne by the Institute.
6)Guest House
GATE Guest House inside the campus has thirty-four guest rooms out of which eight are air-conditioned. Visitors, Guests, Parents can avail the facility.
7)Health Club & Gym
The facility center at GATE has health club, gym, mediation hall, audio-visual room, reading room, music club room and indoors games. Members of GATE as well as guests can take the advantage of all these facilities.
8)Computer Centre
The computer center is equipped with over 250 WIPRO Pentium PCs, five HP Pentium Servers etc. Leased line Internet facility is available twenty-four hours in the lab and hostel. Our software library is equipped with Linux, Windows 2000, Oracle 9i, Borland C++, Visual Studio .NET, Windows XP, Windows 98, MS-Office 2003 and Tally etc.

The Training & Placement Office of the Institutes of GANDHI GROUP have the responsibility of facilitating the Campus Recruitment Program for all disciplines
