Admission Procedure  at Gandhi Institute of Science and Technology

For Both Btech and Diploma:

• B.Tech admissions conform to the rules and regulations laid down by the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been established by an Act of the Assembly, Government of Orissa in June 2002. A candidate with valid OJEE rank card or AIEEE Score can opt for admission.Under Lateral entry scheme students having deploma in engineering or B.Sc. are eligible to take admission directly in 2nd year of B.Tech having JEE lateral entry rank. • Diploma admission conform to the rules and regulations laid down by the Director of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack, Government of Orissa. Acandidate with valid DET rank card can opt for admission. The detailed admission procedure available on DTE&T 

Fees Structure at Gandhi Institute of Science and Technology:

• The fees for Btech is around 56000 per year ,and diploma is around 38000 per year based on merit list.

 1)CENTRAL LIBRARY
The Central Library is the heart of Gandhi Institute of Science & Technology. It is a completely automated library provides services six days a week,except Sundays and holidays catering information to more than 500 users belonging to 6 departments and centers.
Boasting a rich collection of basic science and humanities and other branches of engineering and management, the library houses more than 15,000 books, 100 projects , 15 volumes of Journals. and 200 digital books in the form CD's and DVD's.
The collection of the library is available online through a web-based Public Access Catalogue Creation of different databases collection was began in the year 2008.
2)RESIDENTIAL HALLS
The GIST provides state-of-the-art hostel accommodation to girl students within the campus. The girl’s hostel has a full-time warden, recreation facilities, reading room, power backup, Internet access among other facilities. Privately owned and maintained boys hostel abetting the college campus is being encouraged to provide the necessary residential services for boys.
3)TRANSPORTATIONS
To facilitate the students from town to College Campus runs 5 no of buses are plying. In addition to this a number of Private buses & Public Transport are available from Rayagada town to reach the institute in every 5 minutes. Apart from this college is providing a weekly trip to town for boarders for shopping and entertainment. The college also provides emergency vehicle facility for boarder in case of medical treatment.
